Rick Yamakawa
Architect. Representative of the first-class architectural firm Yamakawariku Architects. Born in 1990. In 2013, he graduated from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. After working at the JP architects, the NPO Mokuchinkikaku (now known as CHAr) and as an assistant for education and research at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, he became independent. He has presented the touring performance formats Sand (a)isles (2019), Sando, Mairu (Three Times, Come and Go) (2020) and Lines and Around Lines (2022), and worked on the design of architectures for festivals and theatrical productions in scenography, programme management of a learning collective (RAU, 2020-) and a consultation centre (SNZ, 2021-).
