About omusubi estate

We are working together with the residents and people of the city in the rice fields and harvesting rice.

The reason why we make rice is because we want to build a life of self-sufficiency with people whose faces we can see. Self-sufficiency may sound a bit hermit-like and stoic, but that is not what we are aiming for.

First of all, be self-sufficient in what you can do. What we lack, we trade with people we know. We want to do this not only for food, but also for energy, clothing, technology, and even play.

By doing so, we believe that if the people living in the city, the community, and the natural environment beyond the city can maintain a “relationship of give-and-take,” we will be able to continue living.

The same is true for the properties we deal with.

It’s kind of a waste of time and energy to spend a lot of time and energy building new buildings when there is a surplus of buildings here and there.

Instead, it is more natural for the existing buildings to be used and remain in harmony with the environment.

That’s why we want to continue to improve the use of old houses, one-story houses, retro apartments, and nostalgic apartment complexes, which are old and quirky but have a special taste, by making them available for DIY and renovation, making them shareable, and sometimes even creating the rules of the property itself together with everyone.

And we would be more than happy to work with the people of the city to make or exchange the food and furniture they need in their daily lives.

Of course, there are times when such relationships are good and bad. However, I would like to live with a relaxed mind that says, “It’s all about each other.

What we can do is to create opportunities. We are working today, hoping that the rice paddies will be one such opportunity.
