As a visionary architect I want to defy conventional thinking, subvert stereotypes, reverse dogmatism and offer a fresh perspective on today’s architecture ‘hot’ topics.

As an artist I re-elaborate the findings of my architectural researches and crystallize them into artworks, bringing forth my standpoint and fostering interdisciplinary debates.

I conceive my works as toys or games to ‘play with’: the various layers of complexities and significance embodied within the artworks get gradually peeled off while ‘playing’ with them.

Recycling is key in my practice. I regard used materials with an extra potential, granted from their unique history that I strive to keep memory of.

During my short stay at PARADISE AIR I will initially research on the notion of ‘ihyou’ (意表), that invisible force used by some Japanese architect in their design process to design buildings that are able to shift user’s expectations in the attempt to create something unexpected.

Afterwards, I want to learn about ‘architecture sleight’ and ‘design tricks’ consciously used by architects during their design process and use them as ‘design tools’ in my artistic design process to shape my artworks.
