PARADISE AIR invites you to take A Second Look, an ephemeral one-evening-only exhibit where each artist transforms a mundane hotel room into immersive expressions, challenging the nature of perception through objects, architecture, sound, and language.
By combining daily plastic items into playful kinetic sculptures, Tsuyoshi Anzai reinvents the relationship between form and function. Meanwhile, Matteo Biella aims to provide the audience with an alternative view of Chinese “Weird Architecture” as a basis for experimentation and bold innovations in architecture. Tintin Patrone and Tim Huys invite visitors to examine the sound phenomena generated by earthquakes and how these remain in collective memories. Koji Kato takes on the camouflage motif in his life-size sculptures, representing in plain sight what is made to conceal. Finally, Purin Phanichphant questions the meaning of the word “Truth,” which is not always black or white, but rather dependent on the viewer’s point of view.
