Art Translators Collective

Art Translators Collective engages in interpretation, translation, and communication-related projects and initiatives across a variety of expressive fields. The group was formed in 2015 with a goal of contributing to the arts—and, in turn, society at large—through high-quality translation grounded in specialized knowledge and communication initiatives adapted to specific artistic and cultural contexts. Seeking to reenvision the environments where art is appreciated and made, Art Translators Collective embraces the creative potential of translation, encourages an expanded range of possibilities in and for the arts, and facilitates on-site communication strategies that empower artists in their creation processes. Throughout their work, they advocate for imaginative approaches to communication and dialogue that surpass mere conversion of language. In recent years, Art Translators Collective has also branched out into art and outreach projects that examine and redefine the significance of translation as a creative act.
