Lucia Jayo Altamirano
2025.07 - 2025.08

We are pleased to announce PARADISE HOUR, an open studio event at PARADISE AIR featuring the artists currently staying through the Short Stay Program.
Invited in collaboration with the Department of Culture of Bizkaia* in the Basque Country, Spain, Lucia Jayo Altamirano will present an exploratory installation created during her two-month stay in Japan. Nessie, who studied environmental design at Chiba University and has since been active as a photographic artist, will host an open workshop based on her works inspired by the Edogawa River. Illustrator Antonio Uve and musician Leon Keiditsch, also currently in residence, are preparing ways to share their creative processes. This is a lively moment with four artists staying at PARADISE AIR, and everyone is welcome to join.
*As part of a provincial award program that supports the careers of emerging artists in Bizkaia, the prize includes an opportunity to create in Japan. Over the past five years, five award-winning artists have stayed at PARADISE AIR.
