MATSUDO AWARD｜Kenichi Shikata

The MATSUDO AWARD, a joint project with Matsudo City, was launched to shine a light on artists associated with the region. Under the concept “From Matsudo to the world”, this new programme seeks out artists associated with the city of Matsudo and supports them in their future endeavours.
To celebrate the start of the MATSUDO AWARD, a solo exhibition and talk event by Kenichi Shikata, an artist who continues to work in Matsudo, was held at the Matsudo Start up Office. In addition, UBE Tokiwa Museum curator Rie Miura was invited as a talk guest to discuss the 28th UBE Biennale and his work exhibited there.
