PARADISE AIR 2014 Final Presentation

s a culmination of the resident artists’ two months in Matsudo, residents and artists were invited to a final public event. For the first half of the event, Matt and Aleksandra gave presentations about their experiences, impressions, and final projects. The latter half consisted of a round table discussion with special guest Prof. Makoto Motokura, a renowned architect and urban planner. Round table participants included the artists, guests, Matsudo Department of Tourism staff, Matsudo Community Planning Council members, and the PARADISE AIR administrative team, and together they exchanged ideas based upon the prompt, “What is a Matsudo-esque paradise?” Discussion topics included PARADISE AIR, the city of Matsudo, and the relationship between art and urban planning.
