The art talk at the beginning of residency in Japan was great experience. To present my works to omnifarious viewers, to confront works with diversified audience of Matsudo was truly unique opportunity. Since 2009, what is very important for my practice is to contribute to art with works that don’t have requirements towards viewers, that everyone is a qualified viewer regardless one’s knowledge of art theories or history of avant-garde.
My aim is to provide art that is meaningful on basic human level; despite education, social status, ethnicity or nationality. Therefore hearing opinions and readings of my works by Japanese men in his 70′ was touching experiences. I mean that audience of Matsudo is not a regular art-crowd, and that is what makes these meetings so particular and precious. (Pawel Dziemian)
