Takashi Kuraya

Born in Japan, Yamagata Prefecture,1984. He focused the unique visual points of subjects such as Pets, Hometown customs, Family, Radioactivity and old albums into diverse motifs, to produce a work that lays bare the role photos play today and the relationships between people and photographs.
His recent solo exhibitions include “Is this Memory, History, or Null?” (QWERTY, Chiba, 2020) and “Alice, are you sleeping?” (Hasu no hana, Tokyo, 2019), and group shows include “My Body, Your Body, Their Body” (Kana Kawanishi, Tokyo, 2019), “Pets Friends Forever” (DEUTSCHES HYGIENE-MUSEUM, Dresden, 2017-18) and “New Chapter of Landscape #2” (Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo, 2017).
