Saki Shirokoji

Born in Hyogo, 1987. After studying at Toho Girls’ Senior High School, she graduated from the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts. After graduating from the Bern University of the Arts with a Master’s degree, she continued her studies in the Contemporary Music Department at the same university. After winning a prize in the Junior category of the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists, she passed the 13th ABC Newcomer Audition. First Prize, The 13th Contemporary Music Performance Competition “Kyou-gaku XIII”

As violinist and viola player of the European-based Delirium Ensemble, she has premiered works by Casper Johannes Walter and many other composers at the Warsaw Autumn and other events. In Switzerland, she has participated in projects organized by the experimental music group “Pakt Bern”, and has taken master classes with Simon Steen-Andersen and performed in his concerts.
