Olga Sanina

We all keep eternal memories of some landscapes we once visited. May they be a wild forest, a small garden shaped by a human hand or a lonely old tree, we remember their reassuring presence, their sense of existence, and what has resonated within us.
Olga Sanina’s work aspires to capture that, constantly evoking essential elements such as different scales of time, light and its absence, the fragility of materials, and the repetition of gesture. She does not seek to create a portrait of the landscape, nor an abstract vision, but to express that visceral sensation—the constant presence of what is ephemeral, transitory, and permanent.
Olga Sanina, born in 1981 in Lisbon, has been developing her artistic practice for over a decade. Since 2012, from her studio in Lisbon. Since 2017, from her studio in the south of France.
