Miwa Okuno

She started modern ballet at the age of three. In 2007, she joined Leni-Basso, a group led by Akiko Kitamura, and worked both in Japan and abroad. In 2009, she started her solo career. At Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2013, she was awarded both the French Embassy Prize for Young Choreographers and the MASDANZA Prize. At International Contemporary Dance Competition MASDANZA18 (Spain), she won the Judge’s Award, the first prize in the solo category. 

Together with musician Yohei Fujishiro, she founded N///K (Natural Killer) in 2014. Company (N///K) activities as a selected artist of the A.S.P (Artist Support Program) run by studio ARCHITANZ from 2017 to 2019.
In 2017, she also performed in theatrical productions, including in The Fury of my Thoughts by Canadian director Marie Brassard.
