Minwoo Lee

Minwoo Lee, born in South Korea, is a Canadian artist based in United States. Lee makes conceptual photographs to video installations reflecting on the materiality of the apparatus by interrogating the relationship between its image and support. Lee’s work is characterized as origami palindrome, reflected through his delicate use of mirroring, looping, synchronizing, desynchronizing, folding, and unfolding. Graduated with an MFA in Studio Art with background in Photography, Lee has exhibited throughout Canada, United States, South Korea, and China.
