Julia Lia Walter

Julia Lia Walter is a German artist working with painting and video. By an unusual confrontation, she dissolves the boundaries of the two media. In recent artworks she explores the factors of time and time perception. She holds a Master of Fine Arts at the UdK Berlin. Since then her works have been shown in numerous solo and group shows e.g. in Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, Marseille, Vienna, Greece and Taiwan.

My name is Julia Lia Walter.

2. What is your most recent artistic work?：
A gif animation based on photographs of one of my watercolor paintings.

3. What do you want to do in Matsudo?：
I would like to investigate how people in Matsudo percieve time and how time perception can be affected by video- or soundloops.

4. What is your favourite food?
Homemade cake from my grandmother, called “Gugelhupf”.
