Dai Matsuoka

Director of LAND FES. In 2005, he joined Sankai Juku as a Butoh dancer. He has appeared in major works such as Kinkan Shonen, Unetsu, and ARC. Since 2011, he has been organizing “LAND FES”, a performance event where people can watch live performances by dancers and musicians while walking around the city. In 2016, he directed a movement in 10000 Gold Theater 2016, a group play by elderly people, continuing the will of the late Yukio Ninagawa. Since 2018, he has been an instructor for the Scramble Dance Project, a dance workshop organized by Odawara City. In recent years, he has collaborated with many overseas artists, including appearing on stage with the New York theater company Phantom Limb.
