Resident artists Kiral and Wantanee Siripattananuntakul are now participating in the three-month residency program “LONGSTAY Program 2024-25.” Join us for exhibitions featuring their creation in Matsudo on July 21st and the evening of the 22nd, across three locations.
Additionally, on the evening of the 21st, there will be a talk event reflecting on their residency. The artists will share their perspectives on experiencing Matsudo as both artists and residents. The talk event is currently fully booked, but reservations will reopen if there are any cancellations.

Kiral focuses on themes of “pachinko machines, the future, and the universe” in her research and creative work. Located above the Pachinko Parlor Rakuen in the Hamatomo Building, PARADISE AIR hosts the artist. The staircase linking the pachinko shop and PARADISE AIR serves as the venue for showcasing progress on Kiral’s ongoing short film, “The Age of _.” We invite you to explore the creative process behind the artwork.

Wantanee explores themes of “Akiya (abandoned houses), housing issues, and economic disparity” in her research and creative work. Her journey began with discovering the differences in abandoned house situations between Thailand and Japan. Through interviews with property owners in Matsudo and research trips to Kyoto and Osaka, she has deepened her understanding of Japan’s Akiya issues. This time, using an actual Akiya as a venue, she will exhibit several videos and materials inspired by her research findings.
*Only one venue on the 22nd. Adjustments will be made to display videos from both venues (① and ②) from the previous day.
