We are pleased to present an exhibiton by Aaron Ossia, an artist based in the UK who is currently staying in Japan under the SHORTSTAY Program.

During his stay in Matsudo, Aaron paraded through the city holding colorful sticks (totems) in his hands and performed in Matsudo as if it were an “ritual with no purpose” that leads nowhere, and created a video and installation based on the record of his performance.

Looking at the scenery of Matsudo through his eyes as a “traveler” who was finally able to stay in Matsudo after postponing his visit to Japan for about two and a half years due to the Corona disaster, you may notice the beauty and discomfort of the city that you usually overlook. We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition.
