PARADISE HOUR｜Basque

PARADISE AIR is implementing a program called “PARADISE Knot,” which carefully searches for connections between artists-in-residence (AIR) and individual solutions for better encounters between AIR and artists.

Due to the impact of the spread of the COVID-19 infection, the invitation of artists under this program was realized for the first time in two years. Three artists from the Basque Country ( north Spain / south of France) are staying and working at PARADISE AIR for two months from July to August. On the day of the event, we will open the door of the studio where they are actually working and show you how they are creating. (An exhibition will be held in Tokyo after the residency.)

This is a chance to hear directly from the artists about their residency, production, and past activities in the Basque Country and other regions. The coordinator will also assist with interpretation, so you don’t need to speak English. Anyone is welcome to come and join us!

*At the same time, resident artists under the SHORTSTAY Program will also hold open studios during the same period.
