0:00 Aliwen “Obaasan Mizu (Grandma’s Water)“

Alien has trained and played with different vocal techniques and styles, from the Western lyrical technique to traditional sounds from their native Chile. “Obaasan Mizu” is an original composition created in 2021 in the area of Yamanashi, when sharing with some of the older female community leaders. It is a prayer asking for the protection and the blessings of water, perceived as a literal relative. In this occasion, the song will be interpreted in varying intensities surrounding the subtle and the dream-like, aspiring to create an atmospheric lullaby with a subliminal message of hope and good fortune.

I will make a really dark video appear on the walls of the guest’s rooms. Together with the audience, we will try to glimpse the faint lights and shadows of this obscure scene.

In the clown show, there is time for audience to help clown and perform together. Afterwards, we give a gratitude to them and they go back to their seats. I am doing something like that. with you under sleep.

When I dream, I have started recording its contents in my voice memo. Most of them are unintelligible, probably because they are recorded in the middle of light sleep. In the end, there are no more words, and I just feel like I’m falling asleep again.

Onirisme Collectif is an attempt to present the possibility of co-dreaming through the unconscious viewing of performances that occur during REM sleep. The theme of this 8th edition of Onirisme Collectif was “Summer Sleep” and took place at Paradise Air, an artist-in-residence, all night long to promote collaborative dream experiences. “Summer Sleep” is inspired by both sleep, which means that animals sleep for a period of time to protect their moisture from heat and dryness, and the heat and humidity of a summer night, and aims to jump over the boundary between sleep, wakefulness, and death.
