Artist Sachiko Inoue, who spent about three weeks at PARADISE AIR from April to May 2022, working on her artwork in Matsudo.
Residents living in the Tokiwa Danchi area were invited to participate in an interview and photo shoot on the theme of ‘deeply memorable dreams’. By asking the residents about their life backgrounds, the project attempted to draw out the ‘memories’ that may have shaped their dreams and capture them in a single photograph.
The photographs taken at Tokiwadaira Danchi were exhibited at the coffee shop ‘Coffee-en’ in Tokiwadaira, creating an opportunity to get in touch with the residents’ voices while enjoying a cup of coffee.

This time, I mainly photographed people living in the Tokiwadaira Danchi. While the dialogue-based photography expressed the individuality of each person, I also hoped that it could turn into something for someone in the context of the ageing of the residents and the ongoing pandemic. It was with this in mind that I set out on this project, which turned out to be a very valuable experience for me.
I would like to thank all the people involved in the Tokiwadaira Danchi and the many others who cooperated with the shooting of this film.
