[Workshop] The Residents of Matsudo

LONGSTAY Program 2020-21 resident artist Ralph C. Lumbres held a public workshop in conjunction with the Matsudo International Science Art Festival.

Ralph C. Lumbres has walked around Matsudo a lot, and in observing Matsudo through nature, he has noticed that there are also many “non-human” residents in Matsudo.

During the workshop, participants were divided into groups and asked to walk around the city, find “non-human creatures” living in Matsudo, and photograph them with their smartphones.

The photo data taken by each group was printed out on the spot and pasted onto a map of Matsudo drawn by Ralph and displayed, bringing to life another map of Matsudo that we do not know.
