Sandeep TK is practicing lens-based artist from Thalassery, Kerala, living and working in Bangalore. His practice involves documentary photography and fictional narratives that involve himself. He works with the idea of complex human relationships through personal experience and exploration of his identity and surroundings. He has been part of Sher-Gil Sundaram 1Shanthiroad studio/Gallery emerging artist residency in 2015. In 2016 he did a public art project ‘Connecting roots’ he was documenting the Journey of Jasmine flowers to Kr Market from Krishnagiri, Tamilnadu and exhibited those photographs in Bangalore flower market. In 2017 he has been an artist in resident in Lichtenberg Studios, Berlin supported by Bangalore-Residency expanded (Goethe Institute, Max Muller Bhavan). In 2018 He had his first solo exhibition of photography and video ‘Singularity’ at Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore.

2017 Photographing portraits of German citizens working in Deutsche Bank and living in Bangalore for German based magazine Results.
2016 One of 15 artist invited to be part of the art camp in Ujjain Simhasth Kumbh by South Central Zone Cultural Center(SCZCC), curated by Dr Alka Pande. A series of my photograph produced during the art camp was selected for the book Tat Tvam Asi That Thou Art: An Expression of Immense.
2016 Photo documentation of the kochi bi-annual for Mathrubhoomi newspaper and Indian contemporary art Journal
2016 Connecting Roots, a one-year photo documentation public art project, it follows the journey of flowers from Tamilnadu to Bangalore. The final works was displayed at the center of the City Market (which is one of the largest flower market in South East Asia). The photographs connected the growers, sellers, buyers and customers who often was not aware of there the flowers journey and destination.
2015 till present Documenting urban refugees from different parts of India who now calls Bengaluru home. The series of photographs produce will presented public to highlight the discrimination refugees experience in Bengaluru.

2017 Singularity is an exhibition presenting series of work produced during Lichtenberg Studio Berlin, Germany art residency. The work explores and interprets loneliness and longing.
2016 Connecting Roots was a solo public exhibition, which presented more than 35 photographs amongst growers, seller and buyers at the center of the City Market. It documented and maps the journey of Jasmine flower from Tamilnadu to Bangalore.
