Edogawa River, a landmark of Matsudo.

Anna Cherednikova, who spent three months there through the LONGSTAY Program 2020-21, was one of those attracted by the quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

Inspired by flowing “rivers” and the plants that inhabit their shores, Anna’s creations capture the flow of time and the circulation of resources.

Inside the Harada Rice Store building where the exhibition was held, drawings and images depicting the movement of plants were projected on a projector, and in the yard on the premises, glowing plastic bottles set up to blend in with the weeds shone as part of the installation.

The walk followed the path from the exhibition site to the riverbed, where Anna interacted with visitors, overlaying her personal experiences in Matsudo and sharing the ideas each had about the river.
